Advisement Definition
Some crimes (such as drug possession, domestic violence, and others) may qualify for a “plea under advisement” or “diversion.” These provisions allow a person who has pleaded guilty or no contest to finish a program or stay out of trouble and have the criminal charge against them dismissed.
When a case is “under advisement,” the court will either dismiss the charges at the end of probation or enter a nonpublic conviction,
