Criminal Sexual Conduct Definition
Criminal Sexual Conduct (CSC) includes misdemeanor and felony offenses involving sexual assault or statutory rape. CSC offenses include varying degrees of seriousness. Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct is a misdemeanor carrying up to 2 years in prison. First Degree CSC is the most serious offense and is punishable by life in prison. Some crimes involving the penetration of a child under 13 carry a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 25 years.
