Evidence Definition

Evidence is facts or information demonstrating whether something is true or accurate. Evidence can be either direct or circumstantial. Eye witness testimony or fingerprints are examples of direct evidence. If you see someone walk into a house with water-soaked clothing, the droplets of water are circumstantial evidence that it is raining.
