License Restoration Definition
License restoration is the process of either appealing the revocation of a driver’s license or seeking reinstatement of driving privileges through the Michigan Department of State or a Circuit Court. Two OWI convictions within seven years, or three within 10 years, results in revocation of driving privileges. After a revocation, a person seeking license restoration must wait from 6 months to 1 year before filing an appeal for restoration with the Department of State. License restoration cases are complex and challenging. Proceeding with highly experienced counsel is advised.
